Holy Spirit Fire ðŸ”¥

We are this weekend celebrating pentecost, this day the Holy Spirit changed His people from hopeful ordinary, yet fearful people into a supernatural, world changing flock.

The Holy Spirit changed uncertainty into a blessed powerful assurance, igniting the hearts with an earnest desire for holiness and deep need to please God.

What does fire do?

1. Fire burns away dross and impurities. So does the Holy Spirit fire, once our hearts and minds are exposed to it through God’s Word, renewal and regeneration takes place, removing the dross and filth it has been engulfed in and allow the Holy Spirit to mold our attitude and way of thinking into Christ likeness.

2. Fire sets things ablaze. Holy Spirit sets hearts ablaze for God

3. Fire gives warmth. That warmth of the Father’s love that brings you closer to Him and which will make you a powerhouse of love to reach out others by His unfailing love.

4. Fire gives light, that light which brings conviction and opens the eyes of the blind as others will see the light in you and they will be attracted to it, as you point them to Jesus.

5. Fire melts, it melts any longings that are not in the will of God, no more addictiona, no more worldly entanglements. Yes through the Holy Spirit fire you are free indeed in Jesus Name

6. Fire binds, fire not only melts but it also serves to binds, it brings our hearts to the Father and to one another as one family in Christ.

7. Fire awakens. Touch fire when you are asleep and see how fast you wake up. The Holy Spirit fire revives a weary and heavy laden soul and brings a fresh new wave of power and willingness to be all that God called us to be.

8. Fire is a source of energy, the greatest example is the ball of fire we call the sun. The holy Spirit fire boosts us with His energy and power to be a witnessing machine and to move in His calling for our lives.

9. Fire is passion, that is what the Holy Spirit dies, it instills in you a passion fruit in your heart for the Lord, for His people and a deep compassion for the Lost

10. Fire spreads and it spreads fast. One person ignited with Holy Spirit will set ablaze people around Him by the was he or she talks, lives, move and have their being

So let us pray for the Holy Spirit to set a fire down in our soul that we cannot contain that we cannot control, so that He will completely take over and use us for the glory of His Name and for the furthering of His glorious Kingdom.

Beyond Human Abilities

1 Samuel 17:23 – 52

Everyone knows the story of David and Goliath. It was one of my favourite bed time stories as it encompassed a heroic child going beyond his own possibilities to defeat the impossible. It was something which really made this young lad dream that one day I can do it too.

What I did not understand in my early years was that David did not defeat the giant with his own ability, but being God’s anointed, he addressed with God given authority the 9 foot Philistine and with boldness he told him that he will be going down and that is what happened. Unlike the rest of Israel’s army, David was looking at Goliath from God’s perspective totally relying in the One who is above all.

Who or what is your Goliath today? God is telling you right now that no matter how big is your problem, if you put your trust in Him he will show you his might and power and will drive you right through your issue like an eagle which forces itself through a storm.

It is time for your to grab hold of some of God’s promises like Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Do not let these scriptures just make you feel good but make them the foundations of your daily living.

What is it? Addiction, financial burden, sickness, loneliness, depression? God is calling you today and is telling you ” Come to me all of you who are heavily burdened and I shall give you rest”.

The key is to live a holy (set apart) life in total submission to the Word of God and let all its promises be brought to life by allowing our best friend and councilor the Holy Spirit to mold us and shape us into the likeness of Jesus. Only than we can truly tap into the supernatural and truly taste and see how much the Lord is Good.

Anyone would like to share a “David and Goliath” personal experience with us?
